Dear young athletes!
It is my big pleasure that this summer such big event like ISF Athletics 2009, Jean Humbert Memorial World Cup for Schools will be held in Tallinn.
It is nice to state that International School Sport Federation trusts Estonia and Tallinn and gives us a wonderful opportunity so we can show that Estonia and Tallinn are trustee partners for all other countries and also the whole world in such events’ organization.
Youth is our future and Tallinn supports active young people in many different ways and will do its best to make this athletic event memorable for participants, event managers and also for the audience.
There are many top sportsmen who come from Estonia and are nowadays in the top of the list of the world’s best sportsmen. Diverse support of school sports helps young people to reach the same high level as Gerd Kanter or Kristina Šmigun, Jaak Mae or Andrus Veerpalu.
Tallinn is the city of many attractions. I hope that our young friends who will come to visit Estonia this summer will take with them bright memories from the event and amazing Tallinn – a city that has many different faces and where old meets new.
Dear young people from Estonia and abroad, I wish you sincerely great success in ISF Athletics. If you believe in yourself and your potential, then it is in your hands to reach your personal goals and make a good name for yourself in the history of sports!
