It is my sincere pleasure to welcome next summer in Tallinn, Estonia all active schoolchildren from all over the world to take part in the ISF Athletic World Cup 2009!
Every larger competition held at international level in Estonia makes our people happier. In addition to organize world-class school sport event it brings here world-class school-sport achievements as well.
It gives me great pleasure that the International School sport Federation has trusted Estonian School Sport Union with the task of organizing the present competition. This is a sign of recognition to Estonia for the work that we have done in promoting the school sport activities in Estonia.
All Estonians have now opportunity to come and see with their own eyes almost 700 young sportsmen and sportswomen from different places of the world in tough international sport level.
You are very welcomed to the homeland of famous Estonian athletes Gerd Kanter, Erki Nool and many others to compare here your strength and skills. I hope that these days in Estonia in Tallinn turn out to be a memorable experience for you.
The will of children and youths to do sports is the basis for the growth of new sports talents who can offer great experiences and emotions for their own nation in the future.
It gives great opportunities to introduce Estonian culture, history and nowadays, to hundreds of young people all over world through sports. Please believe in yourselves and try to give best in our competition, then everybody will be satisfied – team, coach, relatives and most important you yourself!
