The second day of ISF Athletics 2009 J. Humbert World Cup for Schools will bring forth the world champions

Sunday, the second day of the competition in Kadrioru stadium, will divide the prizes in World Cup for Schools. There are four categories: best female and best male participant, best school and best delegation from the competition. Estonia is holding a high fourth place amongst both – female and male teams after the opening day of the competition.

Friendship Run will take place today at 3PM in Kadrioru Park. Friendship Run characterizes ISF World Cup for Schools. All participants from different nations will gather into six gigantic teams having up to 100 members. The 1,9km trail goes through Kadrioru Park and by the Swan Pond, Kadrioru Palace and Art Museum of Estonia. Participants will be greeted by Mrs Evelin Ilves. The event symbolizes friendship of all nations. The most exotic countries taking part are Nigeria, India, Algeria, Iran and China. It’s not about winning – it’s about taking part!

The competition has a wide range of cultural activities – tonight the Nations Festival will be held in Pirita Convent Ruins. All delegations present their country and culture with a 4-minute routine and in addition exhibit their souvenirs, hand-outs and sweets in a fair.
International World Cup for Schools is hosting 26 countries worldwide. It’s the biggest youth sport event in Estonia 2009.
