
Kadrioru Stadium
With traditions and a long history, Kadrioru Stadium is the premier athletics stadium in Estonia and the city of Tallinn. Since 2006, Kadrioru Stadium has held a IAAF class 2 certificate, which allows high-calibre international compe-titions to be held here.
A total of 65-75 events are held at the stadium’s main arena annually, including 10-15 on the international level. During a typical season, there are about 100 days on which events or competitions are held. The stadium is located on a 7.26-hectare plot between Roheline aas and Laagna tee.
Athletes can make use of the main arena, which conforms to IAAF requirements. There are stands for 4700 spectators. Also, an athletics practice pitch (300m long with a three-lane track, long jump, triple jump, high jump and pole vault sectors, javelin, discus and shot put areas) and a football practice field. For general training, the stadium has a 330m sawdust track, weight machine and a ~60m long track in the area below the stands.
Kadrioru Staadion is orientated to serving the practice and competition needs of clubs, sports academy training groups and members of the Estonian national sports teams on all levels. The stadium’s practice field is also a place where area schools can hold sports competitions.
